The 2026 Hummer EV Is Faster And Even More Unhinged

Dec 23, 2025

The Hummer EV was never meant to be sensible; it exists to smash preconceptions of what an EV can be. For 2026, GMC refined this beast to be smarter, faster, and more capable.

More Than Just a Party Trick

The 2026 Hummer adds bidirectional charging, supporting both vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-home (V2H) power. With water fording and rock crawling capabilities, the Hummer EV can take on just about off-road trail, so long as it isn’t too narrow for its 7.2 feet width. New for 2026 is an upgraded tri-motor powertrain producing 1,160 horsepower.

Andrew's Summary Take

The Hummer EV remains the ultimate statement piece. The 2026 updates, particularly King Crab and bidirectional charging, make it slightly more useful without losing an ounce of its unhinged soul.
