2026 Subaru Trailseeker Charging Test: 10-80% Tesla Supercharger Results
Recently, we've been driving the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker. This is a significant step up from the original Solterra, packing a 74.7-kWh battery and a dual-motor AWD system that pumps out a healthy 375 horsepower. It manages an EPA-estimated 281 miles of range and sits on 18-inch wheels that help keep that efficiency in check. With 8.5 inches of ground clearance and X-MODE, it's the rugged electric wagon we've been waiting for.
But since Subaru's first EVs weren't too great on the DC charging front, we wanted to see how much the newest Subaru EV improved.
We ventured out to a 325kW V3 Tesla Supercharger to test the Trailseeker's 10 to 80% performance. Unlike the older Solterra, the Trailseeker comes standard with a NACS port, making Supercharger stops seamless. Subaru officially quotes 150-kW peak speeds and a 10–80% time of "approx. 28 minutes." We wanted to see what it actually does.
Before our test, we preconditioned the battery for about an hour and arrived at the stall with under 10% state of charge. The V3 Supercharger supplied more than enough current for our test.

The charging curve was remarkably smooth. We saw a peak charge rate of 143 kilowatts early in the session, which stayed above 135kW until the 36% mark. From there, it didn't crash; it just entered a very linear, predictable taper. By the time we hit 80%, the power was still at a respectable 75kW.

Our 2026 Subaru Trailseeker went from 10 to 80% in just 25 minutes and 36 seconds. With an average power of 120 kW across the entire session, the Trailseeker proved that a well-optimized curve is often better than a high, flashy peak.
